Hong Kong is the centre of the trade in shark fins. A trade and industry that is not sustainable with upto 100 million sharks killed each year. Shark rescue a Hong Kong based conservation group have launched, with a bang, their campaign against this trade.
The overall health of our Oceans is at stake. Living Seas Hong Kong is fully supportive of Shark Rescue's protest and objectives. Please do visit their website at http://www.sharkrescue.com/

Its amazing the way WWF and Friends of the Earth are so quiet about this issue over the results in Doha when it is us here in HKG that is so responsible for the decemation of the worlds shark population.
True HKG cannot be represented and is not on the member nations and comes under China , yet does China know what is going on here in this trade??
Isn't it so easy for HKG to get away with this practice.
We need direct action in form of demonstrations.
Why has Sea Sheaperd become so succesfull at highlighting issues? They seam to have a good formula.
