照片更勝千言萬語：下列幾張照片提醒我們為甚麼要停止拖網捕魚

Pictures tell a thousand words, a few snaps to remind ourselves why trawling needs to stop

立法會於今年五月十八日通過了禁止在香港海域進行拖網捕魚的法案。禁止拖網捕魚已得到廣泛支持。在實施這一重大政策之前，我們還需通過最後的重要程序：立法會財務委員會將於六月十日就法案撥款進行表决。

The legislative changes to ban trawling in Hong Kong was accepted in Legco on the 18th May.  There is wide acceptance that trawling needs to be banned in Hong Kong waters.   We now are entering the final important chapter before we can start the implementation phase of this important initiative.  The last step is a vote on the 10th June by the Legco Finance committee.

我們緊急呼籲所有關心此事的市民在六月十日前致函立法會財務委員會。

We need people to write to the Finance committee before the 10th June, your help is urgently needed.

立法會財務委員會將於六月十日進行表决，决定是否接納整個財務方案，以實施禁止拖網捕魚及補償受影響的漁民。現在仍不清楚有關方案會否獲得通過，而政黨又似乎搖擺不定了。漁民正在為賠償金額爭論不休，從而使事情變得複雜化。拖網捕魚必須停止，否則我們的海洋生態、漁業及捕魚傳统將受到永久破壞。

On the 10th June, the Legco Finance committee will vote for whether to accept the complete financial package required to compensate the affected fishermen and to implement the trawling ban.  This is still not clear that this will get accepted and political parties appear to be sitting on the fence again.   The fishermen are argueing about compensation, this is confusing the issue.  Trawling needs to stop otherwise our marine life and our fisheries industry and fishing heritage are gone.

我們呼籲所有關心此事的市民，在六月十日前直接致函立法會財務委員會及所有政黨。以下是我們的建議：
